(Finally) Spring

Images belong to @joelpenkman

It's really spring! I will spend my days eating ice cream, frozen yoghurt and relaxing. My placement has a two week break which feels so damn good. This weekend 0023am and I are going to an opening of the Japanese Gardens in The Hague and I'm excited. Happy weather y'all!

I have sinned - it's spring!

I know right?! I have spent a ridiculous amount of money on this, but I am so in love with it. I love the colour, I love the leather, I love the size.. you name it and I like it. Good thing as well, because I've just spent my monthly allowance on it. I also bought a beautiful lipstick by Bobbi Brown in lilac. It is a little pinkish and it makes my eyes look very green. The little Mickey Mouse pocket is quite old now, I bought it in Disneyland ages ago. I still use it for all my pocket coins.

Another news item for you, spring has finally arrived! I am so happy because my life is pretty doom and gloom lately and this cheers me up immensely. So with a new seasons, time for new music! This is my playlist that I can't stop listening to:

  • Fluorescent Adolescent by the Arctic Monkeys
  • Home by Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros
  • Wagon Wheel by Old Crow Medicine Show
  • Ho Hey by The Lumineers
  • That's all by Seasick Steve
  • Soul Meets Body by Death Cab for Cutie
  • Skinny Love by Bon Iver
  • Lover of the Light by Mumford & Sons
  • Come Back to Bed by John Mayer
  • I'll be Waiting by Adele

Easter Monday

Last weekend was Easter. We are not very religious so we don't go to church in this weekend but we like to make it a family weekend nonetheless. We do give our prayers and give thanks. I loved this years Easter, especially the dinner we had on Easter Monday; it was so delicious! I have been told that this way of eating is particularly Dutch, even though it has a French name: 'gourmet'. It basically means that you have a hot plate in the middle of the table, you put some oil on it and bake everything yourself! I would definitely recommend it. We had such nice pieces of meat, lots of veggies and beautiful sauces. What a way to spend a Monday evening, eh? This year we kept it quiet, only my grandparents came over but it was such a lovely evening that my mind was kept at ease and I could breath again for some time. This weekend was full of celebrations (my brother turned 18) and of homework. But I think spring is upon us! Could it be true?
